"It's spring time... for Hitler...."

Not really. Just needed an excuse to remove a certain screen-stretcher from the page, but... anyways.

Once again, promises to post certain drawings failed miserably. I think I'm better off uploading on a "when the fancy strikes me" now. There are few things I hate doing than making promises and then breaking them, even if they seem pretty insignificant.

Facebook has finally gone off the deep end of "suck", to the point where outside of the occasional photo and events, (and maybe even the chat), there's nothing really fun about it anymore. It's not so much a social-networking site as it is a vanity page, except that you're only allowed to be as expressive about yourself as facebook deems possible (next to none), and the more information you upload about yourself, the more of your soul you sell in the name of corporate profits (in reference to the ads reading your profile and targeting ads at you based on that, and the whole "terms of service" fiasco). Only FF and ABP can prevent this, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Mark Fuckerberg figures out where his missing ad revenue is and alters the site's programming to address it.

But anyways, enough angsting over failbook;

I went to the Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend. Seeing as this is the first time in the past few years that my dad, my mom, and I ever went anywhere together for vacation, it was pretty fun. We only stayed over there for a couple of days, but that was long enough to get a few snapshots of the lake, some vintage shops, and a nice sunset. It's out this far away from any "real" civilization that one can listen to the wind, and hear only that and birds. No rushing noise of cars upon pavement. No police or emergency vehicle sirens. No drunken screams of partying frat boys a few doors down, or the unrelenting sounds of pleasure in the room next door. Just silence.

Oh how I miss camping.
